Low Calorie Snack Ideas

People are well aware that snack can either be good or bad for one???s health. This depends on the ingredients used in making the product as well as the fat and calorie percentage in each gram.

Instead of buying those products that can be open then thrown away afterwards from the supermarket, why not make some low calorie stuff so this can be prepared, packed and then eaten at work?

Here are some low calorie snack ideas that the individual will surely love.

1. The person can cut some vegetable sticks and put this in a plastic container.?? A good example is celery, which is about six to eight centimeters in length. If the taste isn???t that nice, some form of dipping can be added or have this topped with cottage cheese or chopped nuts.

2. Something else worth munching are some low fat hard cheese cubes. The person can add some nuts or dried fruits with eat which is easy to prepare and place in either a plastic wrap or paper bag that can be eaten at work.

3. Eating with toothpicks is something that is usually done in a cocktail party. If the person wants to have a good low calorie snack, rolling some slices of carrot, celery with grated cheese and a slice of meat that is not that hard to prepare can do this.

4. Maintaining a low calorie diet should be all year round even if the weather is hot especially in the summer. The individual can cool off by slicing some oranges and putting this on ice overnight which will taste great when this is brought to the office in the morning.

5. Another cool treat will be slicing a variety of fruits such as bananas, kiwi fruit, grapes and strawberries. This should be mixed with apple juice and kept frozen in the fridge. The person will be able to enjoy the day after as long as it is sealed properly in a container.

6. Having a low calorie diet can still involve a little meat. A good example are a small batch of meatballs that has ground pork mixed with onions and carrots. As long as this is prepared properly, the individual can enjoy this as a snack instead of serving this with other stuff turning it into a meal.

7. Rice just like bread is rich in carbohydrates. To offset this and have a snack that is still low in calories, adding some mashed avocado, banana or cinnamon is a great way to make this into a small cake.

8. Eggs are part of the food group. The person can have this made hard-boiled served with some low fat mayonnaise, salt and pepper on a crisp bread.

9. Fish is also essential for the person???s diet. Having some bread and mayonnaise mixed together during break time will also be another way to have low calorie snack.

If the individual doesn???t like it, perhaps replacing or experimenting with other items not in the list will be a good idea. The person should just check that it doesn???t go over 100 calories in order to keep diet in check.
